MODRATHERM ZEUS EKO
ZEUS EKO steel hot water boilers are designed primarily for burning wood with a water content of up to 20% with a maximum length of up to 500 mm and wood briquettes. The boiler body is made of high-quality heat-resistant boiler steel with a thickness of 5 mm (the walls of the combustion chamber that are in contact with the flame and water) and a thickness of 3 mm (the walls that are in contact only with water). The insulating cover is made of 1 mm thick steel sheet and surface-treated with static powder coating technology. Thermal insulation is made of mineral wool. The grate is cast iron.
The modern design of the heat exchange surfaces and combustion chamber guarantees perfect combustion with high efficiency and low formation of harmful substances in the flue gases.
Boilers meet the strictest ecological criteria.
- meets class 5 according to EN 303-5 and the EKODESIGN standard
- sheet thickness 5mm
- can also be used for gravity
- wide power range
- boiler without the need for electricity
-
75 years of history - a proven tradition The tradition of developing and manufacturing central heating boilers began in the early 1960s.
-
Long boiler life Thanks to many years of experience, the materials used and modern production technologies, our boilers achieve a long service life to the satisfaction of customers, where a significant part of the products is still in operation even after many years.
-
Own development and construction Products are developed in cooperation with major European companies and institutions in the fields of combustion, regulation and design.
-
Environment friendly combustion Our products achieve high efficiency and low emission values, which ensures environent friendly combustion and environmental protection, as well as low operating costs.
Why get a ZEUS EKO boiler?
-
1. Boiler without the need for electricity
Thanks to a special design that guarantees good draft conditions in most heated buildings, the boiler does not need an exhaust fan and is completely independent of electricity.
-
4. Wide performance range
ZEUS EKO boilers are supplied in a wide performance range and cover the demand for family homes as well as commercial premises. Boilers with lower performance are suitable as a backup source, for example, for a heat pump.
-
2. Compact size and light weight
Due to the simple but effective design of the boiler, ZEUS EKO boilers have very small dimensions and low weight. This compactness contributes to the possibility of installing the boiler in areas with very limited access or small space.
-
5. Large loading chamber
The large loading chamber ensures a long burning time - up to 6 hours, as well as comfortable burning of large pieces of fuel. Fuel can be loaded horizontally or vertically. It is also possible to burn lower quality wood - soft and hard.
-
3. Easy maintenance
Boilers are easy to operate and generally require cleaning once a month. Cleaning the boiler itself takes about 15-20 minutes and does not require professional knowledge.
-
6. Long boiler life
Proper maintenance combined with proper operation will ensure a boiler lifespan of up to 20-25 years! The use of dry fuel and operation of the boiler above the dew point temperature also contribute to the long life of the boiler.
Description of the main parts of the ZEUS EKO boiler

Boiler description
The new line of ZEUS EKO wood-burning boilers meets emission class 5 and EKODESIGN. ZEUS EKO boilers can be operated without electricity and on gravity systems. ZEUS EKO boilers have a new patented combustion chamber system, thanks to which these boilers guarantee ecological combustion with high efficiency.
The boilers are supplied with an input and output flange (4x M12 screw) with a G2″ outlet (internal thread) for easier initial installation.
- The boiler meets the 5th class according to STN EN 303-5 and EKODESIGN according to Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1189
- High combustion efficiency, low fuel consumption
- Ecological combustion
- Easy operation and long boiler life
Boiler construction
The boiler is welded from high-temperature heat-resistant steel sheets. The internal space is divided by a water partition into a hopper shaft, a combustion chamber and an exchanger through which the flue gases flow to the smoke outlet. Under the combustion chamber and the hopper shaft is a two-part grate, controlled from the side of the boiler by a lever.
The regulation of the secondary air supplied to the combustion chamber increases the efficiency of the boiler. The primary air is supplied under the grate by an adjustable flap in the ash pan door. The regulation is carried out manually or by an automatic power regulator (TRV), which is supplied as an accessory together with the boiler. The heating water inlet and outlet are equipped with G2″ flanges as standard, but it is also possible to order a boiler with G 1 1/2″ or DN 65 flanges. The flue is in the axis of the boiler at the rear.
Boiler use, fuel
The ZEUS EKO steel hot water boiler is a heat source suitable for heating apartments, family houses, businesses and similar buildings with a heat loss of 13 kW to 36 kW. The heating system can be with an open or pressure expansion tank, gravity or forced circulation of heating water, with a maximum overpressure of 200 kPa.
The ZEUS EKO boiler is designed for burning dry wood with a maximum humidity of 20%, i.e. round logs up to 100 mm in diameter and 500 mm in length, or split wood with or without bark and wood briquettes. The manufacturer recommends that the wood be placed in the loading shaft transversely to ensure smooth burning and fuel sliding. When using so-called "monsters", increased operator supervision is necessary.
Good function is dependent on, in addition to professional installation, the necessary chimney draft and proper operation.
