Wood briquettes
Wood briquettes are an ecological fuel made from wood pulp - shavings.
Wood pulp is pressed at high temperature and pressure without chemical additives. Briquettes are made from both soft and hard wood, some types are characterized by low ash content.
High-quality wood briquettes are characterized by the following parameters:
- calorific value = 18.9 MJ/kg
- ash content = 0.3 - 0.4%
- water content = 8.2 - 8.5%
- do not disintegrate during combustion
Wood briquettes made from biofuels with manual delivery have the longest burning time.
Briquettes are usually supplied in packages of 4 or 5 pieces weighing 10 kg.
Although wood briquettes can usually be burned in almost any boiler, their economical and high-quality combustion is achieved only in a boiler that is certified for this fuel. Our new PYROGAS boilers for burning wood briquettes are certified.
