Description

PYROGAS gasification boilers are modern ecological boilers controlled by a modern electronic controller AK5000 and designed for burning wood and wood briquettes. PYROGAS boilers are equipped with the following components:
- modern electronic controller AK5000 with PID regulation
- flue gas temperature sensor
- EBM-PAPST exhaust gas fan with continuous speed modulation
- integrated copper finned safety exchanger against overheating
- high-quality combustion chamber made of LACFIRE 1800/20 SiC refractory concrete
- combustion bed made of LACFIRE refractory concrete
- integrated front door
All these elements ensure high comfort of operation and control.
Boilers meet class 5 according to the EN 303-5 and Ecodesign standards.
In addition to the above standard equipment, the boilers can also be equipped with a sophisticated modern AK5000 control with Lambda probe. Boilers in this version are also equipped with the following components:
- modern electronic AK5000 controller with Lambda control
- Lambda probe Bosch LSU 4.9
- 2 BELIMO CM24 servomotors, each separately for the supply of primary and secondary air
- all sides of the heat-exchange water surface in the area of the glowing coals on the grate surface are protected by refractory concrete blocks, as is the combustion chamber.
PYROGAS boilers also meet the strict emission limits of the German regulation 1.BlmSchv and can therefore be installed in countries such as Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where emission limits are significantly stricter than in other EU countries.
Boiler protection is provided by 2 safety thermostats and a safety exchanger against boiler overheating.
The design of the ceramic combustion chamber in the rear part of the boiler and the wood storage space in the front part of the PYROGAS boiler protect the boiler against unwanted condensation of flue gases, which increases the service life of the boiler and simplifies cleaning and maintenance of the boiler.
MODRATHERM PYROGAS boilers are designed for burning wood briquettes and wood with a maximum fuel length of up to 600mm.
Wood is burned at high temperatures on the principle of gasification. The boiler body is made of high-quality steel sheet 5 mm thick (the walls of the combustion chamber that are in contact with the flame and water) and 3 mm thick (the walls that are in contact only with water). The boiler water circuit also includes water fins in the upper part of the boiler body. The insulating cover is made of 1 mm thick steel sheet and surface-treated using static powder coating technology. Thermal insulation is made of mineral wool.
Primary air is supplied to the boiler through a flap in the lower front part of the boiler. Primary air enters the boiler and the combustion chamber through openings in the refractory concrete blocks.
Secondary air is supplied to the boiler through a flap in the lower front part of the boiler. Secondary air enters the boiler and the combustion chamber through openings in the refractory concrete secondary air nozzle and is supplied directly to the combustion area at the primary nozzle. If the boiler is equipped with Lambda control, both primary and secondary air are controlled by Belimo servo drives.

The segmented ceramic (fireclay) combustion chamber is located in the rear part of the boiler and extends to the water fins. The combustion chamber is made of high-quality LACFIRE 1800/20 SiC refractory concrete with high thermal and mechanical resistance. Cleaning the chamber is very easy and is done by simply pulling out 2 plates from the combustion chamber. A large amount of refractory concrete ensures the accumulation of high temperatures inside the combustion chamber necessary for perfect combustion of emissions.
The modern design of the heat exchange surfaces and combustion chamber together with the boiler control guarantees perfect combustion with high efficiency and low formation of harmful substances in the flue gases.
In the lower part of the boiler there is a massive cast iron grate filled with fireclay blocks, which ensures high temperatures in the loading area in the place where it is necessary to achieve the highest possible temperatures.
At the same time, ash falls through the grate into the ash pan, which is located in a separate lower part of the boiler and can be removed during full boiler operation.
The boiler has an integrated copper safety exchanger to prevent boiler overheating.
The boiler is equipped with an EBM-PAPST exhaust flue gas fan, which ensures optimal oxygen supply to the combustion chamber and an automatic tilting heating damper, which, together with the fan, minimizes smoke in the room when adding fuel.
The boiler is equipped with a front integrated door, which gives the boiler a modern design and reduces the temperature of the front contact surface of the boiler.
Advantages of the MODRATHERM PYROGAS boiler:
- burning of soft and hard wood
- primary and secondary air is preheated to a high temperature
- high efficiency - low fuel consumption
- ecological combustion - low emission values - class 5 according to EN 303-5
- built-in safety exchanger against overheating
- automatic shutdown of the exhaust fan after fuel burns out
- large loading space
- separate ash pan separated from the combustion space - cleaning even during boiler operation
- thermostatic regulation of the exhaust fan
- segmented ceramic chamber LACFIRE 1800/20 SiC with high thermal and mechanical resistance
- built-in exhaust fan - minimizes smoke when loading
- boiler operation controlled by a modern electronic controller AK5000
- built-in Lambda probe Bosch LSU 4.9 and servomotors BELIMO CM24 (option)

The boiler is operated by a modern electronic controller AK5000, or AK5000 together with a Bosch LSU 4.9 Lambda probe and Belimo CM24 servomotors. The Lambda probe is installed on the boiler chimney and continuously measures the amount of oxygen in the flue gas. The Belimo servomotors are installed on the side of the boiler.
Based on the amount of oxygen measured by the Bosch Lambda probe in the flue gas, the AK5000 boiler controller controls the Belimo servomotors to ensure the correct amount and ratio of oxygen in the flue gas necessary for perfect combustion.
The boiler can be connected to the heating system with threaded connections G 6/4" or G 2" depending on the version. The connection nozzles of the safety exchanger are made with G 1/2" threads.
