PELLETS
Pellets are environmentally friendly fuel made primarily from wood - sawdust or shavings.
Wood material is compressed at high temperature and pressure into the finished shape of pellets with circular section with a diameter of 6-10 mm. Good quality pellets (ie. white pellets) are produced without the use of chemicals, adhesives, starches and the like, and are made of soft wood without bark. These pellets are characterized by low ash content and high calorific value.
The caloric value of quality white pellets is about 18 MJ/kg. The pellets are burned in special boilers in automatic pellet burner, achieving a similar comfort as with gas or electricity.
By pellets burning occurs only a very small amount of ash, which can additionally be used as organic garden fertilizer.
The pellets are supplied usually packed in 15kg bags, in large big bags with a capacity of approximately 1000 kg and in tanks.
The company MTH Ltd. recommends to burn a quality white pellets with a diameter of 6-8 mm with a length of 10-20 mm and a minimum caloric value 18 MJ/kg.
